Formerly from East River St. Mary’s, Pictou County, Joy Cumminger, D.Ac., R.Ac now lives in Denver, Guysborough County.
Having begun her training in Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2004, Joy graduated from the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine as an Acupressure Massage Therapist in Traditional Chinese Medicine for Relaxation Therapy and Pain Management in 2009.
In December of 2014 Joy completed her studies on the Indigenous Isshinho Japanese Classic Oriental Medicine and became qualified as an Acupuncturist in Japanese Medicine.
Joy is also an Auricular Therapist through the Auricular International Research and Training Centre, USA.
Currently Joy is a member of the Executive of a number of associations relating to Chinese/Japanese medicine.

Through traditional Chinese and Japanese medicine, the goal of The Joys of Health & Wellness is to help prevent illness and disease from occurring by way of alternative measures. The focus is to improve the quality of life through pain control, stress reduction as well as to maintain good health and well-being through the tonification of the immune system.
